Triggering the viewer's curiosity with its name, "YYRBGGYRRBWYYY" is one of the paintings in Quinn's series called "Separation of Body and Soul". Just like all the other paintings, which share the same dynamics color-wise, this piece reflects the moment in which the soul has started occupying the black and white body while colouring it.

The body is represented as a flower in its full fragility and context while the soul seems to be represented by the fluid line of volatile colours. The whole image coming to life looks like an explosion which is constructive: it forms life, it does not destroy it. There is a deeper resonance in the painting that takes the viewer to its center.

With this series, including this piece, Quinn moves us from within by taking us to the center of the piece. He does not represent what is real, but chooses to work on our emotions by inviting us to reflect on the components of reality: colour and shape, soul and body. As always, Quinn demands introspection as a response to his works.
