Tierney GEARON

An American photographer Tierney Gearon gained prominence in Great Britain along with both critical and commercial recognition for her powerful, intense and haunting color photography. With no formal training in photography, Gearon taught herself photography while travelling the world as a model. After being discovered, her work was displayed on Times Square billboards. Gearon’s work focuses primarily on her family, children and friends. Of her work she says it is “the diary of my soul.” Her exhibitions entitled as “The Mother Project”, “Daddy, Where are you” and “I am a Camera” present a very intimate look into Tierney’s family life.  “EXPLOSURE” is another project of hers that brought her recognition around the world. Thanks to her unique approach to photography, regarding its format, content and context, she has received the attention of distinguished galleries, leading to her work being shown around the world.
